The Golden State Warriors have reportedly inked a deal with Rodney McGruder, a 7-year NBA veteran, according to Shams Charania and Anthony Slater of The Athletic. McGruder, who recently became a free agent, is known for his versatility on the court and previously played for the Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Clippers, and Miami Heat.

During his career, he has averaged 5.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game, with solid shooting percentages. With McGruder’s experience, he could be a valuable addition to the Warriors, provided he secures a spot on the roster.

In the previous season, the Warriors secured the sixth seed in the Western Conference, boasting a record of 44-38. They had a thrilling seven-game series victory over the Sacramento Kings in the first round of the NBA playoffs but fell to the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round in six games. Despite this, the franchise has an impressive history, clinching four NBA Championships in the last nine seasons.
