Pistons’ Monte Morris: Expected to miss next two games

Coach Monty Williams provided insight on Wednesday, expressing his expectations regarding Morris, who has been dealing with a back issue. According to Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press, Coach Williams does not anticipate Morris participating in the Pistons’ final two preseason games.

While Morris has been gradually increasing his involvement in practice sessions, it appears that he is still not quite ready for game action.

As a result, he is likely to be sidelined for the upcoming matchups against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday and the Dallas Mavericks on Friday.

Although Morris is showing signs of progress in his recovery, there remains some uncertainty about his availability for Detroit’s regular-season opener against the Miami Heat scheduled for next Wednesday.

His status for that important game is still up in the air as the team continues to monitor his rehabilitation and readiness.
