Jay Scrubb, the two-way guard for the Boston Celtics, has endured a torn ACL in his right knee during a preseason practice.

His journey to the Celtics began after an impressive performance at the 2023 NBA Las Vegas Summer League, leading to the signing of a two-way contract. Unfortunately, the team has refrained from providing any further updates on Scrubb’s status for the upcoming season.

Hailing from Louisville, Jay Scrubb garnered attention during his time at John A. Logan Volunteers, a junior college, before making the leap to the NBA Draft in 2020.

He made history by being the first junior college player to be drafted into the league since 2004 when the Brooklyn Nets selected him as the 55th overall pick.

Subsequently, he found himself traded to the Los Angeles Clippers, navigating between the G-League and the NBA before landing with the Boston Celtics this past summer.
