Kristaps Porzingis Injury Update: Celtics Star Expected to Miss Second-Round Playoff Series

Kristaps Porzingis having departed the series in a disappointing fashion for the Boston Celtics in Game 4, an important play-off victory will attempt to be retrieved in Game 5 against the Miami Heat. Nevertheless, the time towards Porzingis’s making his appearance in the field can be very much detained. The player had to leave court on Monday, Game 4, due to right calf tightness, but did undergo imaging of his lower body on Tuesday morning, the results of which indicate that he will not return for some weeks, according to reports.

The storage of the injury has provided relief, but the delay in his return remains as he is expected to miss an extended period. The possibility of him returning early in the first round or otherwise is still there. Haynes mentioned that, as per Chris, there’s a high chance Porzingis won’t be available for the Celtics’ second-round faceoff if they manage to advance.

The mishap happened in the middle of the second quarter when Porzingis was playing some games and rolled his opposite ankle first, followed by a torn calf muscle, which indicated that he was hurting and limping.

The Celtics keep the score series by Curry and the Miami Heat low since they will be able to attend to Porzingis on his postseason court return. In the specific case of Porziņģis and his injury history, it makes sense that the Celtics would choose a more conservative way of handling his comeback.

Though the Celtics’ chances against the Cavaliers or Magic have a little less edge with Kristaps Porzingis being unavailable, the team remains the favourites in this matchup. The date of the start of the Eastern Conference Finals has not been announced yet, but it might happen between May 19 and 22.
