Charlotte Hornets Unveiles Classic Edition Uniforms for 2023-24 Season

The Charlotte Hornets Unveiles Classic Edition uniforms are set to grace the 2023-24 season, commemorating the franchise’s 35th anniversary, harking back to its inaugural 1988-89 campaign. The 2023-24 Hornets Classic Edition uniform boasts a teal backdrop adorned with dual-hued pinstripes, reminiscent of the second-generation Hornets attire spanning 1997-2002.

Hornets President & Vice Chairman Fred Whitfield expressed, “We’re pleased to introduce a new Classic Edition uniform to be worn as part of our celebration of the 35th Anniversary of the Charlotte Hornets‘ inaugural season, Throughout our history, the Hornets have been recognized for fashionable uniform designs, and we know our fans will be excited to see the look that our team wore from 1997-2002 back on the court in Charlotte.”

The jersey showcases the timeless Hornets font, with the “Charlotte” wordmark gracing the chest, the player’s name displayed on the back, and the number featured on both sides. The design is further elevated by the royal blue, light blue, purple, and green multi-colored double pinstripes. A crossover v-neck enhances the aesthetic, complemented by purple-striped side panels adorning both the jersey and shorts. The shorts stand out with the Classic Hornets logo on the left thigh. True to Hornets tradition, the Nike Jordan Brand logo adorns the right chest of the jersey.

Anticipated to make appearances during eight home games this season, the Charlotte Hornets Unveiles Classic Edition uniforms symbolize the franchise’s evolution from its inception in 1988 to the present, and onward into the future, as part of the 35th Anniversary celebrations. The schedule of these games, along with an exclusive ticket package, will be disclosed in early September.

The freshly minted Classic Edition uniforms are set to hit the shelves of the Hornets Fan Shop and other retail outlets this upcoming fall.
