Warriors’ Woes Continue: Kerr Slams ‘Ridiculous’ Ejection of Klay Thompson

In a game marred by ejections and a four-game losing streak, the Golden State Warriors faced another setback with a 104-101 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on their home turf.

The drama unfolded in the first quarter when a scuffle led to the ejections of Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Jaden McDaniels. Post-game, head coach Steve Kerr minced no words, expressing his disbelief at Thompson’s ejection, deeming it “ridiculous.”

Kerr stated, “There’s no way Klay Thompson should have been thrown out of the game. He’s running up the floor, and the guy grabs his jersey, and he’s pulling on him, so Klay pulls back. No way Klay should have been ejected. That was ridiculous.”

The controversial ejection added to the Warriors’ woes, as they dropped to a 6-6 record in their first 12 games and extended their losing streak. The absence of star player Steph Curry sidelined with a knee injury, compounded the team’s challenges.

Rookie Brandin Podziemski stepped up for the Warriors, leading the team with an impressive 23 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and a steal. However, his standout performance couldn’t salvage a much-needed victory.

Looking ahead, the Warriors aim to bounce back as they host the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Chase Center on Thursday evening. The team hopes to overcome recent setbacks and regain momentum in the competitive NBA season.

As for Thompson, who entered the game with solid averages of 16.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per contest, the unexpected ejection added a controversial chapter to his season.

The Warriors, known for their resilience, face a challenging period with key players sidelined and tough losses piling up. Kerr’s bold statement underscores the frustration surrounding the ejection, leaving fans and analysts questioning the officiating decisions that impacted the outcome of the game.

In the unpredictable world of the NBA, where emotions run high, the Warriors find themselves navigating a turbulent stretch. The spotlight now turns to their response against the Thunder, as they seek to turn the tide and rediscover the winning formula that has defined their storied franchise.
