Orlando Magic Force Game 7 Despite Donovan Mitchell's Heroics

During Game 6 in their first-round NBA playoff series with the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Orlando Magic squeezed a win and were thus allowed to play Game 7 to decide the winner. Although scores of points by Donovan Mitchell were spectacular in his outing for the Cavs, the Magic still pulled through, winning the game with a 103-96 final score.

Key Performances

Paolo Banchero was the main man for the Magic, adding 27 points, having the backs of Franz Wagner and his 26-point performance and Jalen Suggs and his 22-point game. The clutch Banchero became evident in the game’s fourth quarter, with the Magic’s win getting even better with him providing and settling 10 points.
Orlando’s Shooting Prowess

The Orlando Magic immediately displayed their shooting prowess on long shots in Game 7; in particular, Jalen Suggs was excellent from beyond the arc. The venerable Suggs sealed the deal in overtime with a famous long two-point shot taken from the halfcourt logo that became a “meme” worth remembering even after the game. Orlando capitalized on their ability to shoot from a long distance, so they led the match for almost the entire duration.

Mitchell’s Herculean Effort

Donovan Mitchell, wearing a very impressive coat of the Cavaliers, showed his extraordinary talent, scoring an impressive 50 points for his team. Even with Mitchel’s bravery in his efforts, the remaining Cavaliers turned out to be a dreadful support system, to the point where they lost in match 6.

Injury Concerns

The injuries bring obstacles for the Cavaliers, as the game is attended by Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen. The former one is also unable to get on the court. While the short period that Mitchell missed from injury might have brought a frown to everyone’s faces, his incredible return and sensational performance on the court were a true testament to his indispensable nature to the team.

Looking Ahead to Game 7

Ahead of Game 7, the teams are putting on their game faces, each approaching the defensive position with caution. The Crown intends to reach the first playoff series win of the last 10 years for their team, whereas the Cavs are about to make it to the following round. The curtain over this movie has brought out the climax of an exciting series that stuck with the viewers throughout the whole movie.
