Sacramento Kings Coach Applauds Recee Fox's Supportive Tweet for Domantas Sabonis

Sacramento Kings Coach Applauds, In the realm of NBA basketball, the presence of basketball wives often lingers in the sidelines, seldom taking center stage. However, in Sacramento, Recee Fox, wife of point guard De’Aaron Fox, has not only captured attention but also earned admiration from fans.

Frequently seen courtside at Kings games, Recee Fox is a notable figure, often accompanied by their baby, Reign. Her active engagement on social media, particularly interacting with Kings enthusiasts, has garnered her a unique standing within the fan community.

Recently, following an impressive performance by Domantas Sabonis, Recee Fox took to Twitter to express her gratitude and admiration for the Kings’ co-star. Sabonis had just notched a stunning triple-double during the Kings’ triumphant 143-131 clash against the Washington Wizards at the Golden 1 Center.

With 28 points, 13 rebounds, and 12 assists along with an impressive team-best plus-25 net rating, Sabonis displayed prowess that contributed significantly to the team’s success. His performance brought the Kings’ record to 16-9 as they geared up to face off against the Boston Celtics, who boasted a 20-6 record.

In her tweet, Recee Fox didn’t miss the opportunity to highlight Sabonis’ consistent excellence: “Although Sabby does this on a nightly basis, I hope we never take it for granted. I know national media doesn’t get it, but we can continue to recognize he’s special.”

The commendation from Fox drew the attention of Kings coach Mike Brown, who found her remarks reflective of the tightly-knit culture the Kings have fostered in Sacramento.

Brown remarked, “This group is connected… When you see stuff like that and you hear stuff like that, it’s awesome because that is not something that you hear a lot or see a lot around the NBA because of the money or the prestige… but for somebody of Recee’s level and caliber to be able to say that publicly and mean it, to me it’s no surprise.”

The synergy between De’Aaron Fox and Sabonis has been evident since the trade orchestrated by Kings general manager Monte McNair, sending Tyrese Haliburton to the Indiana Pacers in exchange for Sabonis. Both players shone brightly last season, securing spots in the All-Star Game and earning All-NBA Third Team honors for the first time in their careers.

With Fox currently in the third year of a substantial five-year, $163 million contract and the potential for another extension looming, the future appears promising. Sabonis also solidified his commitment by agreeing to a significant five-year, $217 million extension last summer.

Following the win over the Wizards, Fox chimed in with praise for Sabonis, acknowledging his unique contributions to the team: “Everything he does for us, just being able to grab a rebound, push it, or sometimes we grab rebounds and we’re able to outlet to him. There aren’t many people who are able to do that at his size.”

In a league often defined by individual accolades, the support and appreciation exchanged between teammates, their families, and the coaching staff showcase a distinct bond that propels the Sacramento Kings forward.
