The Philadelphia 76ers have officially signed an 8-year NBA veteran Kelly Oubre Jr. He is fresh off a remarkable season, averaging 20.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 1.4 steals per game, with shooting percentages of 43.1% from the field and 31.9% from beyond the arc in 48 games with the Charlotte Hornets.

This summer, Kelly Oubre Jr., a seasoned NBA player, entered free agency, and now the Philadelphia 76ers have officially Signed an 8-year NBA Veteran.

As announced by 76ers PR on September 26, 2023, Philadelphia 76ers President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey revealed that the team has successfully secured Kelly Oubre Jr., although the specific terms of the deal remain undisclosed.

Oubre Jr. was originally selected as the 15th overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft while playing college basketball at Kansas. Throughout his career, he has also suited up for the Golden State Warriors, Washington Wizards, and Phoenix Suns.

His career statistics reflect an average of 12.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 1.0 steals per game, with shooting percentages of 43.4% from the field and 33.0% from beyond the three-point line. These numbers are based on 527 regular season games, and he has also participated in 18 NBA playoff matchups.

Given Oubre Jr.’s proven track record as a veteran player, his addition to the 76ers holds significant promise.

Regarding the 76ers, they are coming off a successful season where they secured the third seed in the Eastern Conference with an impressive 54-28 record. It’s worth noting that Joel Embiid earned the 2023 NBA MVP Award during this season.

Their playoff journey saw them sweep the Brooklyn Nets in the first round but ultimately succumb to the Boston Celtics in the second round, following a seven-game series.
