Basketball 2K23 Overall Ratings for Los Angeles Players

0

NBA 2K released the list of the top 10 league players. LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers ranked second overall in the first basketball video game, tied with Golden State Warriors 2022 Finals MVP Stephen Curry, Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant, Denver Nuggets 2022 MVP Nikola Jokic, and Philadelphia 76ers 2022 MVP runner-up Joel Embiid.

The top-ranked Milwaukee Bucks forward, Giannis Antetokounmpo, is followed by those seven All-Stars. It is somewhat surprising that James made the second tier, above players like Luka Doncic and Jayson Tatum, given that in reality, his defensive flaws and injury issues in his advanced NBA years kept him from making the All-NBA First Team this past season.

Meanwhile, Shaquille O’Neal, a center in the Hall of Fame who played for the Lakers, is the only player in league history to receive a 100 rating. James and Kobe Bryant, two other Lakers, have previously received 99 ratings. Although 2K did not release player ratings for every team, Jovan Buha of the Athletic has you covered with the Lakers’ statistics.

Shaquille O’Neal, a member of the Hall of Fame who played for the Lakers, is the only player in league history to receive a 100 rating. James and Kobe Bryant, two other Lakers, have previously received 99 ratings. Even though 2K did not release player ratings for every team, Jovan Buha of the Athletic has you covered with the Lakers’ statistics:

Meanwhile, James and Anthony Davis, a big man who received a rating of 90 overall, undoubtedly make the Lakers the best team. Naturally, anyone who watched L.A. Russell Westbrook this year is not the third-rated Laker, unlike last year. The Utah Jazz have recently acquired three-time All-Defensive point guard Patrick Beverley, who is currently ranked as the team’s third-best player on the current roster. Beverley receives a 79 overall rating, which is not particularly high.

Westbrook, who completed the top five, saw a significant decline in his overall player rating from where he stood in the game’s previous season when he was given an evaluation of 86. Ol’ Brodie has had a difficult journey. An overall rating of 78 was given to the former nine-time All-Star, tying him with Lakers combo guard Kendrick Nunn, who missed the entire 2017-18 campaign due to a bone bruise.

Center with a total score of 76, Thomas Bryant, who is competing in Los Angeles for the first time since his rookie season in 2017-18, places sixth among his teammates. With Los Angeles’ guard rotation still somewhat in flux, Lonnie Walker IV, a $6.5 million taxpayer mid-level exception free agent signing, ranks just one notch higher than second-year shooting guard Austin Reaves with a 75.

The final two Lakers in the top 10, according to leaked rankings from Buha are 6’11” center Damian Jones and power forward Juan Toscano-Anderson, both of whom have 73 overall ratings.
