Kerr’s involvement with RCD Mallorca aligns with a larger strategy. Andy Kohlberg, a fellow American, and a prominent tennis star, is also entering the scene as the president and primary shareholder of the La Liga side.

When interviewed by the club’s official website, Kerr expressed his enthusiasm for the new venture. He revealed that his friendship with Andy Kohlberg led to discussions about the change in ownership and an invitation to join the new investment group. Kerr’s connection with Mallorca extends beyond business, as he attended a match there last summer and became a supporter of the team. He described the opportunity as highly exciting.

Taking a broader perspective, Steve Kerr joins RCD Mallorca is aiming for greater achievements after finishing 9th in La Liga last season. The club had earned promotion from La Liga 2 just two years ago. Presently positioned 14th in the Spanish top flight, they’ve played two games so far.
