Warriors Endure Nightmare Travel Experience, Kerr Calls it Worst in NBA History

Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr has described the team’s recent travel ordeal as the most challenging he faced in his three-decade-long NBA career. After a grueling journey from New York City to Toronto, which included mechanical issues with their plane and hours stuck on the tarmac, the team didn’t arrive at their hotel until 8 a.m. Despite the adversity, the Warriors managed to secure their eighth consecutive road win with a 120-105 victory over the Toronto Raptors.

Kerr: “Last Night Was Brutal”

In a post-game interview, Kerr expressed his disbelief at the circumstances the team had to endure. “Last night was brutal; that’s the worst travel circumstances I’ve ever been involved with in the NBA,” Kerr stated emphatically. The team had minimal rest, with players only getting to bed at 8 a.m. and having to sleep during the day before heading to the game. Despite the rough start, Kerr commended the team for their resilience and competitive spirit.

Warriors Overcome Adversity, Extend Road Win Streak

Despite a sluggish start in the game, the Warriors rallied in the third quarter to secure their 13th win in their last 16 games. Draymond Green acknowledged the challenges but emphasized that the team should do the job. “No excuses,” Green asserted. “Nobody wanted to hear an excuse if we lost, so I think we did a good job making sure we took care of what we needed to take care of and got the job done.”

Curry Shines, Kuminga Sends Message

Steph Curry continued his stellar performance with seven 3-pointers against the Raptors, following up on his eight 3-pointers the previous night against the New York Knicks. Rookie Jonathan Kuminga also made his mark with some highlight-reel dunks, showcasing the team’s depth and talent. Despite their current playoff seed, the Warriors proved that One cannot overlook them as they continue to compete at a high level.

Looking Ahead

The Warriors will conclude their four-game road trip with a matchup against the Boston Celtics at TD Garden. Despite the travel setbacks, the Warriors and Kerr remain focused on their goals and determined to maintain their momentum as they push toward the postseason.
