The French prodigy, just 20 years old, etched his name in the annals of basketball history by notching an incredible 40-point, 20-rebound spectacle, a feat unseen since the days of Shaquille O’Neal in ’93. Spurs’ Wembanyama Outshines Knicks’ Brunson in Overtime Thriller

Despite Brunson’s heroic struggle, only to fall short of the Knick’s organization point record, the attention of fans clearly belonged to Wembanyama, as the young player of the night was nothing short of a demi-god when it came to the performance on the court. With the rookie’s heroics being the underlying basis, Spurs had a triumphant 130-126 victory, leaving the fans applauding and the rivals considerably baffled.

The hoop world may have been all about Wembanyama’s dominance, but said competition offered other skirmishes that were equally dramatic and explosive. The Minnesota Timberwolves regained the glory of the Western Conference last night when they cut past the Denver Nuggets champions by chainsawing through their hearts breaking the tie between the Oklahoma City Thunder who have also won the conference championships.

However, high in the Mile High City, Edwards and friends conducted an exquisite piece of performance that ultimately led to a triumphant defeat against the Nuggets despite Jamal Murray’s absence. Despite the brilliance of Nikola Jokic, the damage done by the injuries made things a bit too challenging to win for team Denver.

In Oklahoma City, the Thunder displayed their depth and resilience, when they blew the Phoenix Suns away behind a great performance from Josh Giddey. This was achieved despite Shai Gilgeous-Alexander not being among those walked players.

Away from it, the LA Clippers who are were led by Kawhi Leonard and Paul George made it with a thrilling game and win over Orlando Magics, adding another to their winning streak. The Houston Rockets with the very encouraging tally of 11 victory in a row, added another win to this list, but only after the Jazz game strategy was defeated.

In the Nets’ Brooklyn home, the “rain” was coming from all across the court after they made history, breaking the NBA record with a series of accurate three-pointers in an unbelievable performance against the Chicago Bulls. In the meantime, the Miami Heat squeezed history against the Portland Trail Blazers by winning with a big margin and engraving their names in the history of their team.

As the day after NBA night was declared a working holiday, one thing clearly emerged – that the League’s landscape is no static entity but very ever-changing and unpredictable. The league now has an extraordinary group of up and coming stars to contend with, and several established stars that want to be the best in the league. The playoff dance is not far away, but we have some time to enjoy the show first.
