Reportedly Miles Bridges of the Charlotte Hornets Facing Another Arrest Warrant

Miles Bridges of the Charlotte Hornets Facing Another Arrest Warrant connected to a prior domestic violence charge, according to reports.

Miles Bridges of the Charlotte Hornets Facing Another Arrest Warrant

Last November, Bridges entered a no-contest plea to a felony domestic violence charge, and part of his sentencing involved a criminal protective order. This order mandated that Bridges keep his distance from his ex-girlfriend and victim, Mychelle Johnson, for the following 10 years, preventing him from jail time.

However, it’s now reported by WSOC in Charlotte that an arrest warrant has been issued for Bridges due to an alleged violation of this protective order. A police report suggests that Bridges damaged the victim’s windshield at her residence in January, just months after the 10-year order was established.

In addition to the arrest warrant, a criminal summons was issued for Bridges, as reported by WSOC. As of now, neither the warrant, which dates back to January, nor the summons have been served. Bridges was also put on probation for three years as a result of the initial domestic violence charge. If he’s convicted of violating the protective order, it would also constitute a probation violation.

Miles Bridges took a break from the game during the last season. However, he was expected to make a comeback after signing a one-year, $7.9 million contract with the Hornets for the upcoming season. The NBA imposed a 30-game suspension on Bridges last year, and he has already served 20 of those games. He was set to finish the suspension over the first 10 games of the upcoming season, allowing him to play.

But now, these new allegations have cast uncertainty over his return to the game. CBS will provide updates on this story as more information emerges.
