2022 preseason schedule

The 2022 preseason schedule has been announced by NBA, set to begin on 30th September. The schedule also has two international matches. The Los Angeles Clippers will play Israeli League team Maccabi Ra’anana on September 30, in the first game of the preseason. The defending champion Golden State Warriors will face the Washington Wizards at Japan’s Saitama Super Arena.

Seven of the 70 preseason games, in the 2022 preseason schedule, will be televised on the national level. And out of the seven national games, two will be on ESPN and feature your Los Angeles Lakers against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Being one of the two most successful teams in the league, playing in one of the top two markets in the nation, and starting one of the top five players in the league’s history certainly helps.

Lakers 2022-23 Preseason Schedule

The Los Angeles Lakers’ revamped lineup will take the court against the Sacramento Kings. They will also play against a few other Western Conference playoff clubs. The Lakers’ six-game preseason schedule, which will give fans their first opportunity to watch former Timberwolves point guard Patrick Beverley with the purple and gold, is detailed below:

  • October 3rd: Kings at Lakers
  • October 5th: Phoenix Suns at Lakers
  • October 6th: Minnesota Timberwolves at Lakers (ESPN)
  • October 9th: Lakers at Warriors
  • October 12th: Timberwolves at Lakers (ESPN)
  • October 14th: Lakers at Kings

The two ESPN games will be the first chances for a national audience to see the club’s new All-Star starting frontcourt duo. Karl-Anthony Towns and three-time Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert will play together for the first time. By October, how will the Lakers’ starting frontcourt look? Will Anthony Davis and Thomas Bryant compete for rebounds with Towns and Gobert? Or will AD and Myles Turner be their opponents?
