NBA Icon Kevin Garnett to Launch STR33T, a 3x3 Basketball League

Renowned NBA figure Kevin Garnett, known for his on-court intensity and charisma, is venturing into the world of sports entrepreneurship by spearheading STR33T, an upcoming 3×3 professional streetball league set to kick off in early 2024. Kevin Garnett to Launch STR33T his sports venture company, Big Ticket Sports, has joined forces with Pro League Network to bring this innovative concept to fruition.

The STR33T league will span four weeks, featuring competitions for men, women, and co-ed teams, with enticing daily and season-long prize pools up for grabs. Big Ticket Sports also boasts ownership and operation of HoopItUp, a grassroots 3×3 basketball tour that has engaged millions of participants since its inception back in 1989.

“HoopItUp is the leader in 3×3 and I’m excited to work with the PLN team to create a professional series with STR33T that gives the incredible 3×3 players a major platform to show what they can do to fans across the country,” Kevin Garnett to Launch STR33T remarked.

Pro League Network is focused on creating captivating sporting events with wagering opportunities, making the 3×3 format particularly enticing. Unlike traditional major professional sports contests that can last for several hours, 3×3 basketball games are concise, with an average duration of less than 20 minutes, offering quicker results for bettors.

George Daniel, CEO of Big Ticket Sports and HoopItUp, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating, “With the average 3×3 basketball game taking less than 20 minutes, we believe STR33T is tailor-made for digital consumption and sports betting. We are thrilled to be collaborating with Bill, Mike, and the PLN team on this dynamic venture,”

While comparisons to Ice Cube’s BIG3 league are inevitable, it’s essential to note their differences. STR33T will adhere to FIBA 3×3 rules, which gained recognition after the sport’s debut at the Tokyo Olympics, where the USA women’s team, consisting of WNBA players Jackie Young, Stefanie Dolson, Kelsey Plum, and Allisha Gray, secured the gold medal. Instead of featuring former NBA players, STR33T will spotlight 3×3 specialists who aim to contribute to the growth of one of the world’s most popular basketball variants.

Bill Yucatonis and Mike Salvaris, co-founders of PLN, are enthusiastic about the blend of fast-paced 3×3 games and the authentic energy of streetball, particularly among co-ed professional players. They also underscore the significance of collaborating with an NBA legend and visionary like KG in elevating this venture to new heights.
