In a series where the Clippers had previously exploited Doncic’s involvement in screens to expose the Mavericks’ defensive vulnerabilities, Game 2 witnessed a tactical shift. Speaking to reporters post-game, Doncic embraced the defensive attention, stating, “I accept it. It gets me going on the defensive end, too. That’s fine. I think I played good defence today. I’ve just got to stay locked in.”
