New York Knicks (2018–2022)

The New York Knicks selected Knox with the ninth overall choice in the 2018 NBA draught on June 21, 2018. He was drafted in a Fortnite costume, one of the most creative draught outfits ever seen in the NBA. The Knicks officially announced Knox’s signing on July 5, 2018. Knox made his NBA debut on October 17, 2018, scoring ten points, two steals, and a block in a 126–107 win over the Atlanta Hawks. Knox had a team-high 17 points and six rebounds in a 105–107 loss against the Brooklyn Nets two days later.

Knox hurt his left ankle the next day in a 101–103 loss to the Boston Celtics. He soon made his comeback to the court on December 1, setting a career high with 26 points, four rebounds, four assists, a steal, and a block in a 136–134 overtime win over the Milwaukee Bucks. Knox won the Eastern Conference’s NBA Rookie of the Month Award in January 2019 for games played in December 2018. Knox had a career-high 31 points, seven rebounds, and two steals in a 108–105 loss against the Philadelphia 76ers on January 13, 2019. The Knicks announced on December 21, 2020 that they have exercised Knox’s fourth-year option.
