An NBA veteran with career earnings of $260 million finds himself without a contract for the upcoming 2023 season, while his former team in Boston expresses interest in a Blake Griffin return.

Blake Griffin, a six-time NBA All-Star, is currently an unrestricted free agent, eager to continue his career in the league despite not having a team as of the 2023 season.

Last season, the 34-year-old played for the Boston Celtics, appearing in 41 games and contributing an average of 4.1 points and 3.8 rebounds. He also started 16 games, averaging 13.9 minutes per game.

However, the Celtics decided not to re-sign Griffin during the offseason, opting for other roster changes. With the recent signing of sharpshooter Svi Mykhailiuk, Boston’s roster now comprises 14 players, leaving only one available roster spot.

According to reports from the Boston Globe, the Celtics would be open for Blake Griffin return the experienced big man, Blake Griffin, as he left a positive impression during his previous year with the team, particularly in the locker room.

Griffin has had a remarkable 13-season career in the NBA, playing for four different teams. He began his journey in Oklahoma, where he excelled as a high school player and received offers from top colleges. Eventually, he chose to stay in Oklahoma, attending the University of Oklahoma and playing alongside his brother, Taylor.

After two seasons with the Sooners, Griffin entered the 2009 NBA Draft, where the Los Angeles Clippers selected him as the first overall pick. Despite an initial injury setback, Griffin quickly became a star, earning Rookie of the Year honors upon his return. He continued to impress with five All-NBA team selections and a memorable victory in the NBA Slam Dunk contest during his time with the Clippers.

Griffin later played for the Detroit Pistons, Brooklyn Nets, and eventually, the Boston Celtics, where he spent his most recent season.

As a former top pick in the draft, Griffin has amassed a considerable fortune, earning close to $260 million throughout his career. His last appearance in the NBA was during the 2022-23 season.
