The National Basketball Association (NBA) is the major basketball league in North America. It has been the wildest dream of basketball players around the world to compete in this precious league. The regular NBA season usually starts on October 19 after the conclusion of the three-week training camp on September 28. Meanwhile, the previous two NBA seasons have begun on numerous dates as a result of the cautious measurements taken during the pandemic. In addition, it has been postponed for the players’ and coaches’ security. However, excluding the playoffs and the postponements and cancellations, a regular season ends on April 10.
When Does the NBA Season Start and End?
The start and end dates of an NBA season have been fixed for many years. Although the association has developed a system to maintain fixed dates, the pandemic caused changes to these dates. The players and coaches attend a training camp before the start of a regular NBA season. The camp period lasts for three weeks and usually ends on September 28. Subsequently, the regular season commences on October 19 and lasts until April 10 of the following year. The play-in tournament for the seventh and eighth seeds in the Western and Eastern Conferences ends on April 12 and April 15 after the regular NBA season concludes on April 10.
Meanwhile, the NBA Championship Game 7 will be played as soon as possible after the playoffs begin on April 16 and continue through June 19. Subsequently, the All-Star break is scheduled for the weekend of February 18-20, followed by the NBA draft on June 23.
