2 Main Players to Miss Game 4 for Celtic? Injury Updates

0

The Boston Celtics will have to win it without the help of Marcus Smart and Robert Williams in Game 4.

The Boston Celtics are particularly beat up going into their biggest match on Monday night, after nearly coming back in Game 3, but ended up losing. Although the team’s top player, Jayson Tatum, appears to be alright, the same cannot be said for Marcus Smart and Robert Williams, the team’s finest defensive players. In-Game 3 against the Miami Heat, Smart suffered a serious ankle sprain. Williams’ knee injury is still being treated day-to-day, according to his doctor. Both Boston players can be considered as questionable on whether they can start or even play. If they lose their next game they will be in a 3-1 hole against the Miami Heat.

The good news for Celtics fans is that even if Smart and Williams are unable to play, they still have Tatum and Jaylen Brown, who combined for a game-high 40 points against the Heat on Saturday night. Even if he despised the game’s calling, Brown was the player who took advantage of Jimmy Butler’s absence for the majority of Game 3. While the Celtics have already proven they can win on the road in South Florida, they will need to do it at least once more if they are to keep their season alive.

The Celtics gave up the home-court advantage to top-seeded Miami by losing Game 3 at home on Saturday night. Moreover, the victor of this series will face the Golden State Warriors or the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Finals. The Celtics have a couple of things going for them, even though it will not be easy. One of them is at home. Two, they came so near to beating Miami in Game 3 two days ago. Three, Butler is not in peak physical condition. The Celtics have a chance to tie the game at 2-2 if they take better care of the ball.

Even without the availability of Williams & Smart the Boston Celtics need to win their next match!
